My Healthy Foods

I know now that I eat pretty healthy. For example, every day I try to have a cup of milk for each meal I have. This makes my bones nice and strong. I also try to eat either fruits and vegetables or even both every meal. Next I have meats or some type of beans most meals. This is high in Vitamin E, protein, B vitamins (niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, and B6), Iron, Zinc, and magnesium.For grains I eat bread/rice in every meal. From this I learned that eating grains can reduce the likely of have coronary heart disease. I learned that eating healthy can protect your body and your life.

My Junk Foods

I also learned that eating junkfood is actually needed in your body. Oils are the major source of MUFAs and PUFAs in the diet. PUFAs contain some fatty acids that are necessary for health called essential fatty acids. But I also learned that eating to much oils can be bad because too many trans fatty acids can be bad for you and may cause health problems. Poptarts contain an ingrediant called gelatin which is derived from the collagen inside animals' skin and bones. Also Xanthan Gum is made from rotting sugar. Lastly Soy Lecithin is any of a group of yellow-brownish fatty substances occurring in animal and plant tissues. As gross as this may seem everyone eats and enjoys these disgusting treats.
